Springfield Women of Today

Our organization has been volunteering for over 24 years, so we have earned the privilege to be called “Veterans of Volunteering”. Over the years we have helped the homeless, domestic violence victims and cancer survivors. We have donated money and materials for scholarships, kids safety, senior citizens, families at Christmas, foodbank, schools and Ronald McDonald House. We also work with many other national organizations to help our community.

Our USWT Creed says it all:

We, the United States Women of Today,
Are dedicated to serving our community and nation,
Are committed to strengthening our individual talents,
And stand united by our friendship and belief in the future.

First and foremost we are very dedicated to serving our community and nation by volunteering - especially when times are hard. We not only give material items but we give our time - which is priceless. We also see the need to strengthen the individual talents of each member. To see each member develop skills that can be used throughout their lifetime is a goal of this organization. United by our friendship and belief in the future, our dedication is seen at every meeting and program we participate in. If you were to look at each member's goals you would see the same theme. We all serve our community, strengthen our talents and we stand united with each person we touch.

This is a volunteer organization and I am proud of the level of commitment and fellowship that we have come to expect from our members. We are truly “Veterans of Volunteering”.
